Artist and album information

This enthusiastic pianist knew how to combine his melodist and performer talents. Gilbert Bécaud was nicknamed “Mr 100 000 volts” after a furious performance at the Paris Olympia in 1954. His songs toured the world in French and covered in English. For our own pleasure, they are available on a compilation specific to the Quebec market. The album is released the year we will commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death.
